Rash Guards and Shorts for No-Gi Training

VHTK’s no-gi collection brings together rash guards and grappling shorts for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and submission grappling. A close fitting rash guard limits loose fabric around your torso. Grappling shorts provide room through your hips and thighs for takedowns, guard work and scrambles. Select each garment separately to get the fit you want.

BJJ Rash Guards for Movement and Skin Comfort

VHTK BJJ rash guards use 85% polyester and 15% spandex. Four way stretch supports reaching and torso rotation during grappling. Moisture wicking fabric draws sweat away from your skin, while quick drying material helps the garment dry between sessions.

Flatlock seams help reduce rubbing against the skin. A silicone waistband grip helps limit the hem riding up as you bridge and turn. The short sleeve design leaves your elbows and forearms uncovered.

Ranked Rash Guards in Your Belt Color

VHTK’s Rankings Edition includes white, blue, purple, brown and black belt colors. These designs represent your current Jiu-Jitsu rank during no-gi practice.

For competition, check the selected rash guard’s color and coverage against your event’s requirements. Check your shorts separately too. A belt color design alone does not establish eligibility for the complete outfit.

Grappling Shorts for Hip and Leg Movement

VHTK grappling shorts combine 95% polyester and 5% spandex with an elastic inseam panel. This construction supports leg movement during guard retention and transitions. An elastic waistband and internal drawstring let you adjust the waist.

Compare your waist measurement with the VHTK size guide. Check the selected shorts’ length and allow room through the seat and thighs for squatting and lifting your knees.

Put Together Your Training Set

VHTK offers rash guards in sizes S through 2XL for men and women. Compare each garment with its own size chart. Your rash guard and shorts may require different size labels.

Choose matching artwork or combine different designs. VHTK also offers custom rash guards and shorts with academy logos, team colors or personal artwork.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a ranked rash guard for ordinary no-gi training?

Not necessarily. A regular BJJ rash guard can suit no-gi practice. Choose a ranked design if your academy requires belt colors or you want your training apparel to represent your rank.

Can I wear regular gym shorts for no-gi BJJ?

Some gym shorts can suit practice if they allow hip movement and stay secure at the waist. Avoid exposed zippers, hard fasteners and open pockets that can catch fingers or toes. Grappling shorts provide a more specific option for this training.

Can I wear spats underneath my grappling shorts?

Yes, spats can add leg coverage beneath your shorts during training. Choose a combination that allows comfortable hip and knee movement. Competition rules may restrict extra layers, so check your event’s requirements separately.

Can I use the same outfit for no-gi BJJ and MMA training?

Yes. VHTK rash guards and grappling shorts suit both activities. Check that your outfit allows shoulder movement for striking and hip movement for kicks and ground work. Your training outfit does not automatically meet every competition’s rules.

How do I care for my no-gi outfit after training?

Wash both garments after each session according to their care labels. VHTK recommends cold washing and air drying. Turn printed garments inside out and let them dry completely before storing them. Avoid high heat to help preserve stretch and fit.
